The Improvised Explosive Devices (IED) course is a one- day training event that covers the basics to better understand and recognize booby traps, hands-on bombs and the difference between high & low explosives and their components.
The training includes obvious and non-obvious dangers to first responders, terrorist use of explosives, booby-trap awareness (indoors & outdoors), bomb description(s), improvised trip devices, military trip devices, mechanical and electrical/electronic trip devices, recognition and basic component of trip devices and overall team and individual safety.
