Knife Defense is a one-day (8 hour), 100% hands-on course that is designed to teach you how to increase your chances of surviving a knife attack; at close range while you are on duty - whether you are armed or unarmed.
This course builds on your own survival instincts and current training.
You'll experience realistic, full-speed attacks from the instructor and fellow students who are armed with rubber and plastic training knives. Each attack scenario is based on today's prison methods, military techniques and the way the average person handles a knife.
The attacks against you will be fast, furious and unpredictable - just as they are in real life.
Our training is used by the German GSG9, Brazilian GATE, California Department of Corrections, Argentinean G.O.E., US Border Patrol, San Diego Sheriffs, Boston area SWAT teams, US Coast Guard Boarding Teams, INS and others.
In this course you will be taught:
- How to survive the "Five second window"
- The 12 angles of attack
- Basic ground survival techniques
- The Dennis Tuller Rule
- Medical implications of knife wounds
- How to search for concealed weapons
- The Will-to-Survive attitude
This, like all H3 courses, can be tailor made in length and duration to best benefit your department or unit.
Your Instructors are all sworn defensive tactics professionals who teach at their departments, units and/or academy.
