The Protective Service Detail Tier 1 course is designed for those operators designated to protect high level dignitaries and/or work in high profile conflict area(s). It is also for those working in an Open System (high profile weapons exposure).
An appropriate portion will be classroom instruction. The remainder of the training will be hand-on enforcement, physical training, basic tactical casualty management, preparations for combat operations, motorcades, motorcade defense, simulated terrorist attacks, live-fire exercises & drills, tactical shooting (moving & firing) from 180 to 360 degree (depending the facilities and range capabilities) and terrorist explosives devices (from small IED's to larger car bombs and ambush bombs).

Due the level of this course, students must be in excellent physical condition, they must be prepared for long days filled with physical activity and in good health. They must also have previous PSD training, live-fire shooting experience (CQB, SWAT) and understanding of casualty management.
